Senior Clerk Chairs Annual Conference
On the 26th June 2010 Matt Gibbons, Chambers Senior Clerk Chaired the Institute of Barristers Clerks annual conference in Manchester at the Bridgewater Hall. This was the second time the event has been held in the City and the first time a Manchester Clerk has chaired the event.
Over 160 attended and notable speakers included – Nicholas Green QC – Chairman of the Bar, The Honourable Mr Justice Ryder – Presiding Judge of the Northern Circuit and Baroness Ruth Deech – Chair of the Bar Standards Board.
Leigh Royall our Senior Criminal Clerk Chaired a workshop at the event which discussed funding issues. The session included members of Chambers Richard Whitehall and Anna Bentley who discussed civil and family funding respectively.
