Profile

Sasha had a general common law pupilage at New Walk Chambers in Leicester and thereafter practiced in both criminal and family work.  Keen to practice exclusively in family law, she was invited to join Deans Court Chambers’ Family Team in 2004.  Sasha soon developed a thriving public law and matrimonial finance practice, and her conscientious case preparation and pragmatic approach is appreciated by lay and professional clients and judges alike.

She is regularly instructed by local authorities, parents and Guardians in public law work, and undertakes work of the utmost seriousness, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse. In 2008 she was instructed by a local authority to conduct care proceedings involving complex legal issues surrounding identification of perpetrators in finding of fact proceedings.  On appeal from the County Court, she was led by Susan Grocott QC in both the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court in 2009 in the case now known as Re S-B UKSC17 [2010] 1 FLR 1161.  She has also been led in care proceedings involving the suspicious death of a child in the High Court.

Sasha has a thriving ancillary relief practice and is experienced in advising on settlement, conducting FDRs and final hearings.  She is sensible in her approach, puts clients at their ease and liaises closely with instructing solicitors to ensure that both lay and professional clients receive the best service available.
