NewsAPPOINTMENT TO THE HIGH COURT BENCH We are delighted to congratulate Eleanor Hamilton QC on her appointment as a Judge of the High Court, Family Division. Eleanor Hamilton, who has been an Associate Member of Deans Court Chambers for some years, was called to the Bar in 1979, took Silk in 1999 and has sat as a Recorder and a Deputy High Court Judge. Following her appointment, she will be known as The Hon Mrs Justice Eleanor King.
CIRCUIT JUDGE
We congratulate Peter Main QC, who has been appointed to the Circuit Bench with effect from 26 February 2008. Peter Main, who was called in 1981 and took silk in 2003, will be based at Liverpool Civil and Family Court.
NEW SILKS
We are delighted to announce that Stuart Denney and Susan Grocott have been appointed Queen's Counsel. They will be sworn in on 28th March. Their elevation will bring added strength to the services offered by our criminal and family teams respectively. We warmly congratulate them both. |
