Lisa Judge gets first ever Operation Advance aquittal
Operation Advance which is run by the Greater Manchester Police Cold Case Review Unit has been pursuing prosecutions for historical murders and rapes where recent scientific advances allow for the resurrection of cases and subsequent prosecution. Their previous 100% success rate has been dealt a blow by the acquittal of a defendant defended by Lisa Judge. The defendant was alleged to have attacked the victim and raped her when she was walking home from Manchester in the early hours of the morning in the 1990's. The defendant was identified by his DNA in the victim's underwear.
