Bansa has practised in the family courts for over 20 years.
In the course of working in the field of public law children work Bansa has received considerable exposure to children and parents suffering from mental health difficulties. Due to such exposure Bansa has taken instructions in relation to work within the Court of Protection.
Bansa has a diligent and methodical approach. He has a calm and conciliatory nature qualifying as a mediator in 1999. This skill is highly effective in the often difficult and emotive atmosphere of mental health and community care work.
Notable Cases
Representation of a Local Authority in which the chid was suffering acute mental health difficulties coupled with alcohol addiction and required detention under the Mental Health Act as opposed to a Secure Accommodation Order.
Representation of a parent within care proceedings where the child has reached adulthood and the young adult has been identified as lacking capacity to deal with his own affairs and consent to treatment and therefore the case has been transferred to the Court of Protection for matters to be resolved.
