Public liability
Alex appears on "preferred Counsel" lists of several local authorities who tend to instruct him on Highways, Occupier's and Housing claims, where fraud is suspected.
Road traffic·
"Ghost passenger" issues: fraudulent occupancy claims.
"Staged accidents": whether the damage to one (or more) vehicle was deliberately inflicted so as to found a claim – experienced in cases of both unilateral and bilateral fraud (depending on the level of involvement of either party).
"Disappeared cars": accident claims that involve vehicles that may never have been in the possession of Claimants at any stage and cannot now be traced.
Damage added to a vehicle after an accident; damage inflicted on a vehicle by other means entirely, passed off as arising out of an accident.
Exaggerated injuries: costs arguments arising.
Inflated/fraudulent storage/hire/repair claims. Recently instructed on behalf of several insurer defendants in several of a series of hundreds of claims issued out of a single address in the names of genuine claimants, without their knowledge.
LVI issues: experienced in the case management and trial thereof, involving high levels of expert involvement.
Policy fraud: indemnity issues between insurer and lay client.
